MMK Trading House: Russian rolled steel consumption to rise in 2018

Russian steel producer Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has announced that its trading company MMK Trading House’s rolled steel sales in Russia in 2017 totaled more than 1.2 million mt, with a value of RUB 46 billion.

Speaking at the annual congress of the Russian Union of Metal and Steel Suppliers (RUMSS), Denis Lyadov, director of MMK Trading House, stated that in the current year rolled steel consumption in Russia is expected to increase by 3-3.5 percent. The increase is expected especially in the automotive and machine industries.
