MMK issues H1 US GAAP results

The Russian steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has issued its US GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) results for the first half of 2007.

Accordingly, during the period in question, MMK registered a 43.88 percent increase in its revenue to $4 billion, a 56.09 percent rise in its operational profit to $1.077 billion, and a 47.28 percent climb in its net profit to $866 million.

MMK's EBITDA rose by 53.5 percent year on year to $1.205 billion in the first six months of 2007.
