Russian steel mill Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has announced the installation of a new rebar cutting machine at the bimetal workshop of its subsidiary MMK-Metiz.

The new machine will allow MMK-Metiz to cut rebar into lengths of up to 12 m. Moreover, in the future MMM-Metiz plans to install at its bimetal shop a new line for the production of cold-deformed rebar of B500C grade.

The start-up of the new equipment items will allow MMK-Metiz to enlarge the production range of its rebar and wire rod.
