Russian steel producer Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has announced that in 2015 its total finished steel shipments amounted to 11 million mt, including 8.4 million mt to the domestic market, including the CIS, and 2.6 million mt to the export markets.

MMK stated that, despite the attractiveness of exports, which increased by 25 percent last year, the weakening of the ruble and the decrease in domestic demand, the strategic goal of MMK continues to be a focus on domestic consumption. For MMK, the pipe industry is the most significant with a 33 percent share in the domestic market. However, the company will also continue to improve service to its foreign customers by conducting the most flexible pricing policy, so that the quality/price ratio will satisfy the needs of customers.
