MMK and Severstal push for Chinese quotas

Traders report, Russian mills MMK and Severstal are pushing the authorities for a settlement agreement on a certain quota for Chinese market, where these two mills account for majority of the Russian steel exports. Market sources advise the other Russian mills may be opposing the idea of a quota. According to reports, a delegation from Russian government will be in China on June 2nd to start talks on the issue and reach a conclusion.
