MMK and Coskunoz Alabuga launch new steel service center in Tatarstan

The Russian steelmaker Magnitogorsk Iron and Steel Works (MMK) has announced that it has started operations at its new steel service center in Tatarstan, established jointly with the Turkish company Coskunoz Alabuga, a part of Coskunoz Holding.

The new service center is located in the Alabuga special economic zone and produces steel blanks that are used in the production of car parts. The production capacity of the service center is up to 60,000 mt per year. The service center will provide products for Russian automakers and foreign car manufacturers who localize their production in Russia, in particular, in the Volga and Urals regions. Potential customers of the steel center are Ford, KAMAZ, Kamaz-Daimler, ARNPO, Nissan, AVTOVAZ, GM-Avtovaz, UAZ, GAZ and other companies.
