Mikhailovsky GOK restarts second pelletizing machine

Mikhailovsky GOK (MGOK), the iron ore producing subsidiary of Russian steel producer Metalloinvest Holding (Metalloinvest), has restarted production operations at its second pelletizing machine.

In January 2009, MGOK's pellet production amounted to 205,000 mt, while in February its pellet output increased to 550,000 mt.

MGOK delivers its pellet and other iron ore production to Russian steelmakers Ural Steel and Kosaya Gora Iron Works, as well as to steel producers from Slovakia, Iceland and China.
