The Australian iron ore miner Midwest has rejected a $1.06 billion takeover proposal from Chinese steel producer Sinosteel, considering its offer as undervalued.
"Midwest has not been able to agree terms with Sinosteel," Midwest's letter to its shareholders stated.
However, Midwest also said that the company is continuing its negotiations with Sinosteel.
