Mexico’s economic activity has increased 2.2 percent in February year-on-year, according to data from the nation’s Institute of Statistics and Geography (INEGI). Compared to January, activity was mostly stable.
Primary activities of the economy registered a 2.8 percent year-on-year growth in February, but declined 5.1 percent in comparison with the previous month.
Secondary and tertiary activities rose by 1.6 and 2.6 percent, respectively, year-on-year. Tertiary activities were stable in February compared to January and secondary activities registered a 0.2 percent growth month-on-month.
