In the same week it announced AD duties on imports of Chinese graphite electrodes for electric arc furnaces and commenced investigations on wire rod imports from China, Mexico’s economy secretariat, SE, said it will review existing countervailing duties applied on imports of wire rod from Ukraine.

SE said the 41 percent countervailing duties that were applied for the imports of wire rod from Ukraine will continue being applied while it reviews the tariffs.

SE said the period of the investigation will go from July 1, 2014 to June 30, 2015, while the period of analysis will start on July 1, 2010 and will end on June 30, 2015.  The resolution published on Friday at the nation’s Diario Oficial de La Federacion (DOF), Mexico’s official gazette, is effective September 5, 2015.
