Mexican auto production, domestic sales up in January

Mexican auto production in January rose 4.1 percent, year-on-year, according to data released on Tuesday by the country’s automotive industry association, AMIA.
 
According to AMIA, Mexican car output in January totaled 278,542 units, while domestic sales reached 123,260 units in the same period. Domestic sales in January improved 3 percent, year-on-year.
 
On the other hand, Mexican auto exports in January declined 0.7 percent, year-on-year, to 211,682 units.
