Mexican auto production and exports up in June, H1

Mexican auto production, exports and domestic sales in the first half of 2017 (H1) rose 12.6, 14, and 2.9 percent, year-on-year, respectively, according to data released on Tuesday by the country’s automotive industry association, AMIA.

AMIA said car output, exports and domestic sales in H1 reached 1.8 million, 1.5 million and 743,051 units, respectively.

As for June, auto production and exports rose 4.9 and 12 percent, year-on-year, to 334,606 and 276,626 units, respectively.

On the other hand, domestic auto sales in June declined 5.3 percent, year-on-year, to 127,410 units, AMIA said.
