Mexican auto production and domestic sales rise in October

Mexican auto production rose 0.5 percent year-on-year in October to 328,490 units, according to a report from Amia, Mexico’s automotive industry association.
 
Mexican domestic auto sales increased 14.6 percent year-on-year to 137,383 units, while Mexican auto exports in October totaled 255,115 units, up 4 percent year-on-year.
 
As for the cumulative period of January to October, the country’s auto production improved 0.9 percent to 2.9 million units, while domestic sales increased by 18 percent to 1.2 million units. Exports in the same period declined 1 percent year-on-year, to 2.3 million units.
