The iron ore subsidiaries of the Ukrainian mining and steel producing company Metinvest Holding (Metinvest) have issued their production results for the first nine months of 2009.
Accordingly, in the January-September period Metinvest's iron ore subsidiary Central GOK (CGOK) reduced its pellets output but 2.6 percent to 1.63 million mt, and decreased its concentrate production by 29 percent to 3.46 million mt, both compared to the same period last year.
During the first nine months of 2009, Severniy GOK (SevGOK) produced 9.96 million mt of concentrate - down 8.4 percent year on year, and 6.64 million mt of pellets - down 23.3 percent.
Meanwhile, Metinvest's Inguletskiy GOK (InGOK) during the period in question registered a 29 percent decrease year on year in its concentrate output, to 8.17 million mt.
