Metinvest issues 2011 output results for its subsidiaries

In 2011, the steelmaking subsidiaries of Metinvest, Ukraine's largest vertically-integrated mining and steel group, saw a 4.3 percent increase in their crude steel production to 13.791 million mt, a 22.4 percent rise in their finished steel production to 12.564 million mt and a 4.5 percent increase in their pig iron output to 11.851 million mt.

Meanwhile, in 2011 the iron ore dressing and processing subsidiaries of Metinvest saw a 0.03 percent decrease in their iron ore concentrate production to 34.673 million mt, but a three percent increase in their pellet output to 12.520 million mt.

As regards Metinvest's coke output, the coke production of its subsidiaries in 2011 increased by 19 percent year on year to 6.847 million mt.
