Russia-based leading global iron ore and hot briquetted iron (HBI) producer Metalloinvest and LLC Zeppelin Russland have announced the signing of a contract for the supply of six Caterpillar® 789D dump trucks with an average carrying capacity of 180 metric tons for operation in the production areas of the mining enterprises of Metalloinvest. According to the terms of the contract, the equipment will be delivered during 2013.

Cat® 789D dump trucks are designed specifically to serve large quarries such as the open pits at Lebedinsky GOK and Mikhailovsky GOK. The vehicles enable the transportation of large volumes of material, leading to a reduction in unit costs.
