Mechel Service Italia opens new warehouse, relocates its HQ

Mechel Service Italia, the Italy-based subsidiary of the distribution division of Russian group Mechel, has announced the opening of a new warehouse in Arcore, just outside Milan, while the company will move its headquarters, currently in Bergamo, to the same location.

Mechel Service Italia's sales reached 13,000 mt in 2010, increasing to 48,000 mt in the following year due to the enlargement of its sales network. The company sells wholesale and retail steel products in its five warehouses, but also directly at port. It also offers a cutting service for special steel bars and alloy tool steel bars.

Mechel Service Global, of which Mechel Service Italia is part, is the sales network of the Russian diversified group Mechel, gathering over 170 distribution centers, 50 of which are service centers , located in sixteen different countries, including Russia, other CIS countries, and countries in eastern and western Europe.
