Masteel’s No.2 galvanized line completes trail run

The No.2 cold rolled galvanized production line of Masteel successfully completed its trial run on Friday, November 18, suggesting that Masteel is ready to enter the realm of high class flat rolled products. Germany’s SMS Company provided the bulk of the equipment for the project, which began two years ago. The key equipment includes caustic dip, electrolytic cleaning, a stand-up annealing furnace and an alloying furnace. Japan’s Toshiba Corporation and a French company provided the electric and annealing technology. The production line will have an annual capacity of 350’000 metric tons. The line will produce interior and exterior auto sheet, as well as high grade sheet for appliances. SteelOrbis Shanghai
