The Malaysian government has announced that it has terminated its antidumping (AD) duty investigation on hot rolled coil (HRC) imports from China, South Korea and Vietnam.

The government stated that there was an increase in imports of the products during the period of injury determination from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2014, though the increase in imports is not sharp or significant. Having examined the effects on market share, sales, production, productivity, employment, capacity utilization and profitability, it has reached the conclusion that the imports of the products have not caused and are not threatening to cause serious injury to the domestic industry that produces like or directly competitive products.
