LME adds Evraz as approved brand for billet futures contracts

London Metal Exchange (LME) has approved the new billet brands of Russian mining and steel producing company Evraz Group, allowing the delivery of its products against the exchange's Mediterranean and Far East steel billet futures contracts.

Accordingly, LME has registered as approved brand, billets from Evraz's Russian subsidiaries Nizhny Tagil Iron and Steel Works (NTMK), Novokuznetsk Iron and Steel Plant (NKMK), West-Siberian Steel Works (ZapSib), and from its Ukrainian subsidiary Dnepropetrovsk Iron and Steel Works.

Evraz Group has an annual billet production capacity of 11.9 million mt.
