Guangxi-based Chinese steelmaker Liuzhou Steel has announced that it started maintenance works on its 2,000 m³ blast furnace on February 22 for one month amid the current tough market environment.

The maintenance is expected to reduce the steelmaker's output by around 5,000 mt per day. The company will continue to run its steel bar production line with a daily output of 2,200 mt.
