Laigang Steel completes hot run test on 4,300 mm rough rolling mill for plate

On January 16, Laigang Iron and Steel Co., Ltd carried out a successful hot run test on its new 4,300 mm rough rolling mill for plate. The new mill is designed to roll steel sheets of 10-150 mm in thickness and 2,500-4,150 mm in width.

The new mill, for which ground was broken on October 16, 2007, targets an annual production of 1.8 million mt of wide plates.
