Dallas, Texas-based wire producer Keystone Consolidated Industries, Inc. has announced that it has acquired all of the outstanding capital stock of the US-based PC strand and industrial wire producer Strand-Tech Martin, Inc. (STM), located in Summerville, South Carolina.

According to the Keystone’s statement, a significant amount of the high carbon steel rod feedstock for Strand-Tech Martin will be provided from Keystone’s Keystone Steel & Wire (KSW) mill in Peoria, Illinois, with the flexibility to utilize third party sources of steel rod as necessary. KSW’s steel mill will provide Strand-Tech Martin an assured supply of steel rod that meets the requirements for customer’s projects requiring “made in the USA” materials, while shifting and increasing KSW’s productive rod capacity to products utilized in concrete reinforcement and similar value-added markets.
