The Kazakhstan government has announced its decision to cancel the duty for imports of long products into the country.

During a press conference, Kazakh prime minister, Mr. Karim Masimov, emphasized that due to the country's booming construction industry, Kazakhstan is currently experiencing a scarcity of the main construction materials, including steel products.  Mr. Masimov added that as a result the government has decided to cancel the import duty for long products in order to satisfy the needs of the domestic market.
