JSW Steel’s crude steel output rises by four percent in FY 2014-15

JSW Steel, one of the largest Indian steelmakers, produced 12.63 million mt of crude steel in the financial year 2014-15 ended March 31, showing a growth of four percent year on year. In the last quarter of the financial year, JSW Steel's crude steel output decreased by three percent year on year to 3.06 million mt.
 
 
According to the company's statement, in the financial year 2014-15  JSW Steel produced 10.07 million mt of flat rolled products, increasing by three percent, while its long rolled product output reached 478,000 mt, up 12 percent, both on year-on-year basis.
 
In the fourth quarter, the company produced 2.47 million mt of flat rolled products, down one percent, while its long product output remained stable at 480,000 mt, both compared to the same quarter of the previous year.
