JISCO expects to produce 3.484 million mt of iron ore concentrate in 2011

Gansu Province-based Chinese steel company Jiugang Steel Group Co. (JISCO) has said that from the beginning of the year up to December 23 its iron ore concentrating and sintering plant produced 3.4417 million mt of iron ore concentrate, exceeding its target for the whole year. Meanwhile, it is expected that the iron ore concentrate output of JISCO for the whole of 2011 will reach 3.484 million mt.
 
In addition, in January-November 2011, the coke chemical plant of JISCO produced 1.8154 million mt of coke, in line with the targeted volume.
 
On the other hand, from the beginning of the year up to December 7 JISCO subsidiary Jiayuguan Hongdian Ferroalloy Co. produced 73,100 mt of ferrosilicon alloy, exceeding the output target of 73,000 mt for 2011.
