Jiangsu Province to implement unified electricity pricing system

China's Jiangsu Province plans to suspend the peak and valley time electricity pricing system implemented in some industries such as building materials, metallurgy and chemicals, and to implement a unified electricity pricing system instead.

Meanwhile, the province will implement punitive electricity pricing for companies deemed to consume excessive amounts of energy.
