Japan's new ship export orders slump in January from December level

According to the data released by the Japan Ship Exporters' Association (JSEA), Japanese new ship export orders in January decreased by 94.9 percent on tonnage basis compared to December, falling to three ships, down from 63 ships recorded in December, totaling 116.300 gross tons, consisting of three bulk carriers. In January 2015, Japan's new ship export orders had totaled 12 ships amounting to 1.18 million gross tons.
  
On the other hand, in January this year Japan delivered 45 ships for export, totaling 1.74 million gross tons, rising from nine ships totaling 372,757 gross tons recorded in December. In January 2015, Japan's new ship deliveries for export had totaled 39 ships with 1.69 million gross tons.
