Japan’s crude steel output posts year-on-year fall
Japan's crude steel
production fell 0.6 percent year on year in October.
The Japanese Iron and Steel Federation disclosed that the country's crude steel
production amounted to 9.68 million metric tons in October.
However, October
production represents a month-on-month increase of 5.6 percent.
For the January-October 2005 period, crude steel output reached 94.24 million metric tons, up 0.6 percent from a year earlier.
