Japan’s cold rolled steel exports down 6.5% in Jan from Dec

According to statistics released by Japan's Ministry of Finance, Japan's cold rolled steel exports totaled 224,853 metric tons in January this year, falling by 6.5 percent month on month and down 37.9 percent compared to January 2011.

In January, China was the largest cold rolled steel export destination of Japan, totaling 71,097 metric tons, increasing by 22.9 percent month-on-month and down 43.3 percent compared to January 2011, while exports to Indonesia amounted to 31,494 metric tons, rising 26.3 percent compared to December last year and down 41.5 percent compared to the same month of 2011.
