Japanese crude steel output down 4.7 percent in November

In November this year, Japanese crude steel production was down 2.9 percent compared to the previous month and down 4.7 percent compared to November 2014, totaling 8.75 million mt, according to the data released by the Japan Iron and Steel Federation (JISF). 
 
Meanwhile, in November of the current year Japan's pig iron production totaled 6.67 million metric tons, falling by 3.5 percent compared to the previous month and down 3.9 percent year on year.
 
In the first eleven months this year, the country's pig iron output stood at 74.4 million metric tons, down 3.3 percent, while its crude steel production came to 96.6 million metric tons, falling five percent, both on year-on-year basis.
