Japanese auto output up 7.1% in February

According to the data provided by the Japan Automobile Manufacturers Association (JAMA), in February this year Japanese automobile production (including passenger cars, trucks and buses) totaled 863,397 units, increasing by 57,186 units or 7.1 percent compared to the same month of 2013, constituting the sixth consecutive increase on year-on-year basis.
 
Domestic automobile sales in February of the current year in Japan stood at 565,170 vehicles, up 18.4 percent as compared with the same month of 2013. In the meantime, the country's automobile exports in February amounted to 366,779 units, down by 23,277 units or six percent year on year.
