Izhora gets Gazprom certification

Izhora Pipe Plant (Izhora), a pipe producing subsidiary of the Russian steel producer Severstal, has announced the receipt of certification of compliance with Gazprom's specifications for the latter's Bovanenkovo-Ukhta pipeline system.

Izhora has been certified for 120 atm working pressure pipes. The plant is the only manufacturer of this type of pipe in the world.

The deliveries to Gazprom of the pipes in question will be started in May-June of 2008.
