ITC to conduct sunset reviews for steel pipes from eight countries
The US International Trade Commission will conduct full sunset reviews for the existing duties on certain steel
pipe and tubes imported from
Argentina,
Brazil,
India, South
Korea,
Mexico,
Taiwan,
Thailand, and
Turkey.
The US International Trade Commission (ITC) voted yesterday in favor of conducting full five-year reviews (“sunset”) concerning the countervailing and antidumping duty orders on imports of certain steel
pipe and tubes from
Argentina,
Brazil,
India, South
Korea,
Mexico,
Taiwan,
Thailand, and
Turkey.
The ITC will use the sunset reviews to determine whether the revocation of the orders would be likely to lead to continuation or recurrence of material injury to US domestic industries.
Interested parties are requested to submit their comments on the ITC's decision. Generally, 95 days after the initiation of the review the ITC determines whether the responses indicate adequate interest in a full review. If the responses are adequate, the ITC will conduct a full review, which includes public hearings and questionnaires.
