Italy's crude steel output down 8.6 percent in October

In October this year, Italian crude steel output decreased by 8.6 percent year on year to 1.871 million metric tons, while in the first 10 months of the year the output figure amounted to 18.594 million mt, down 8.8 percent year on year, according to the figures released by the Italian steel producers association Federacciai. So far this year, excluding the slight year-on-year increase recorded in August, Italian crude steel output has decreased each month on year-on-year basis.

Italian crude steel output in October of the current year was also lower compared to the crude steel outputs of 2.464 million mt in October 2010, 2.725 million mt in October 2011, 2.221 million mt in October 2012, and 2.047 million mt in October 2013.
