According to the data released by the Italian steel producers' association Federacciai, in the first four months of the current year Italy's steel imports from non-EU counties totaled 1.885 million metric tons, down 46.7 percent, while its steel exports to non-EU destinations amounted to 1.928 million metric tons, up 23.7 percent, both compared to the same period of the previous year.
