Italian steel mills are no longer to fix domestic scrap prices

SteelOrbis is reported that the EU competition commissioner Mr. Mario Monti has fined the Italian steel mills for fixing the price of scrap domestically. According to reports, after the liberalisation of the negotiations, the average scrap price ex service centers (i.e. the cuttings) has shot up to €150/Mt.
