Assessments of order books and production expectations in Italian manufacturing worsened in the month of May.
Also in May, the seasonally adjusted confidence index in Italian construction dropped to 81.8 from 83.7 in the previous month. In the domestic construction industry, assessments of order books and construction plans improved slightly, while employment expectations worsened.
