Ispat Industries to increase annual production capacity

Indian steelmaker Ispat Industries has decided to increase its annual production capacity from 2.4 million tons to 3.6 million tons, with an increase of 50%. The company will invest Rupees 167 million (approx. $3.6 million) for this expansion plan. In the first stage, Ispat has expanded its annual hot rolled coils capacity to 2.4 million tons from 1.5 million tons at its Dolvi plant near Mumbai.
