Iron ore exports via Port Hedland up 2.23 percent in Nov from Oct

In November this year, iron ore shipments from Australia's Port Hedland increased by 2.23 percent compared to October and were up 8.45 percent year on year, totaling 37.33 million metric tons. 
 
According to the information released by Port Hedland Port Authority, in November of the current year iron ore shipments made from Port Hedland to China amounted to 31.73 million metric tons, rising by 3.3 percent compared to the previous month and up 9.3 percent year on year. South Korea and Japan followed China in November, receiving 2.87 million mt and 1.53 million mt respectively. 
 
Port Hedland handles production from mines owned by BHP Billiton, Atlas Iron and Fortescue Metals Group in the iron ore-rich Pilbara region of Western Australia.
