Iron ore exports at Port Hedland break a new record

According to the information released by Australia's Port Hedland Port Authority, the port exported more than two million mt of iron ore just in 24 hours for the first time. The milestone was achieved on the morning and evening tide on April 28, resulting in a total of 2,028,105 mt exported.

As a result, Port Hedland managed 24 vessel movements in the 24-hour period. The morning tide saw 1,025,962 mt of iron ore exported on five vessels, while the evening tide saw 1,002,143 mt sailing out on six vessels.

The month of April also saw a new record achieved for the largest amount of product exported on a single tide, with 1,111,109 mt on April 6.
