Iran’s inflation rises 14.8%

Iran's inflation rate rose to 14.8% during the first nine months of the current Iranian year, which began March 21, 2004. The price index for the consumer goods and services sector in urban areas surged 14.9% year-on-year during the March 21-December 20, 2004 period. Excluding seasonal fluctuations, the index rose 1%.
