Iran commissions new rebar mill

Foulad Sazan Damavand, a new Iranian long steel rolling mill with an annual capacity of 800,000 mt, was officially commissioned by Iranian vice president Mohammad Reza Rahimi on September 20.

The new mill, located at the northern Iranian port of Amirabad, is able to produce 8-32 mm rebar. An investment of about Rials 600 billion (approx. $57 million) has been spent on the project.
