North American flat steel producer Ipsco Inc announced that it successfully produced 123 inch-wide hot rolled coils at its Mobile, Alabama Steelworks. Ipsco's product mix expands with this new product. Besides the subject product differentiates Ipsco from its competitors. When the wide slab casting capability of the company is taken into account, it can be said that Ipsco produces the widest coils in North America. The company will also increase its production by slitting wider coils into narrower coils to be offered to their customers.
