The Ukrainian pipe and railway wheel producer Interpipe Corporation (Interpipe) has announced that it has completed the delivery of casing pipes to state-owned oil company Syrian Petroleum Company (SPC).

Accordingly, Interpipe has supplied to SPC a total of 12,700 mt of casing pipes, of which 5,600 mt have Ukrainian Premium Joint (UPJ) connections. The highly hermetic UPJ connections developed by Interpipe meet the international standards used in global oil and gas production. These connections are used in the construction of horizontal and directional oil and gas wells and for the development of oil and gas fields in difficult geological conditions. The "metal-to-metal" joint packing, coupled with trapezoidal buttress threads, provides highly hermetic joints, as well as durability and firmness for ultimate joint strength.

Interpipe has been working with SPC since 2006, and intends to develop a long-term strategic partnership with the Syrian-based company for the future.
