Indonesia initiates sunset review for plate imports from three countries

The Indonesian Antidumping Committee (KADI) has announced that it has initiated a sunset review of the antidumping duty on hot rolled plate imports from China, Singapore and Ukraine.
 
According to data from Indonesia's Central Statistics Agency (BPS), the total volume of imports of plate totaled 711,596 mt in 2012, 617,114 mt in 2013 and 357,373 mt in 2014. On the other hand, plate imports from China, Singapore and Ukraine amounted to 420,971 mt in 2012, 358,192 mt in 2013 and 256,179 mt in 2014.
 
The antidumping duties were imposed in October 2012 and stood at 10.47 percent for China, 12.5 percent for Ukraine and 12.33 for Singapore.
 
The products subject to the sunset review currently fall under customs duty statistics position numbers 7208.51.00.00 and 7208.52.00.00.
