Indonesia asked Nippon Steel to build steel plant

The Indonesia's government has asked Japanese steel producer Nippon Steel to build a steel plant that will specialize in production for the country's automotive and electronics industries. The import value for this steel will reach $1 billion per year. Indonesia's Industry Minister Mr. Fahmi Idris said that the production of special steel is yet to be developed in Indonesia while the needs of automotive and electronics industries are growing fast. Currently, Indonesia only produces steel for the construction industry.
