India’s passenger car retail sales increase by five percent in June

Indian passenger car retail sales as denoted by new registrations have been estimated at 295,299 units in June this year, up 4.79 percent year on year, according to data released by the Federation of Automobile Dealers’ Associations (FADA) on Friday, July 7.

Total retail sales of automobiles, across categories of two-wheelers, three-wheelers, passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles and tractors, have been estimated at 1,863,868 units in June, a growth of 9.57 percent over the corresponding month of the previous year.
