India’s JSW Steel Limited sees 8% rise in crude steel output in May

India’s JSW Steel Limited achieved crude steel production of 2.23 million mt in May 2023, up 8 percent over corresponding month of previous year, a company statement said on Tuesday, June 13.

The company’s crude steel output from mills in India was up at 2.09 million mt against 1.98 million mt in May 2022 and output from mills in US was recorded at 85,000 mt against 48,000 mt in corresponding month of previous year.

JSW Ispat Special Products Limited, a subsidiary of JSW Group, reported crude steel production of 53,000 mt in May 2023, up 27 percent over corresponding month of previous year.
