India’s JSW Steel Limited declares preferred bidder for iron ore block in Goa

India’s JSW Steel Limited has been declared ‘preferred bidder’ for an iron ore block in Goa at auction concluded last week, a company statement said on Tuesday, June 13.

The company said that it secured rights to for mining lease iron ore blocks of IX-Surla-Sonshi with estimated iron ore reserves of 65.73 million mt.

The company further stated that it will take all requisite steps as per the tender document to obtain Letter of Intent, all statutory clearances to execute the Lease Deed with Mine Development and Production Agreement (MDPA) and start the mining operations.
